That’s right! You read correctly. I make money for watching Netflix.

No, the CEO of Netflix (Reed Hastings) is not writing me a check every month just to use his product.

So, let me explain.

I’ve always felt guilty spending hours at a time or even whole days bingeing Netflix. (Daredevil anyone?!?)

It’s fun at the time, but then afterwards I hate the feeling of not getting anything done.

Especially when I have a long list of to dos waiting for me. (laundry, clean, organize expenses, etc.)

The list goes on and on.

I had these feelings even before Gary V started yelling at people to stop watching “House of Cards”.

So, I knew I needed to find a better way to watch Netflix. This new way of thinking has changed my life.

I decided that if I’m going to waste hours at a time streaming Netflix, then I needed to be making money while doing it.

So that’s exactly what I started to do!

How do I do it?

Side hustles!

That’s right, I found 19 side hustles that are so easy I do them while bingeing on Daredevil.

Let me paint the picture.

I turn on my TV to Netflix and I open my laptop next to me then I get to work. (I just bought a Thinkpad Carbon X1 and it’s the greatest laptop ever! Sorry Mac fanboys…)

Here are my favorite easy side hustles.

1. Take Surveys Online

I use SurveyJunkie to make some extra cash on the side. It’s free and all you have to do is surveys online. The surveys are easy and only take a few minutes. Check it out

2. I Shop Online

That’s right, you read correctly… I shop online and get paid. I do all my online shipping while watching Netflix, but I ALWAYS use Ebates to get cashback on my purchases. And that’s on top of the cash back from my Credit Card. Check out Ebates, it’ll be the best thing you do this year. It’s free and they’ll give you $10 just for signing up.

3. Make Money From Roundups

As I’m shopping for my everyday essentials using Ebates, I’m also making money with Acorns. (read my full acorns review) All my spare change gets rounded up to the nearest dollar and invested automatically. It’s a win/win. And since it’s automated, I’m making money without even realizing it.

BTW Acorns is free for College students and they will give you $5 just for signing up.

4. I Make Money Browsing The Internet

Swagbucks pays you for everyday stuff you do online. It’s super simple and actually fun.

Shop online, Watch entertaining videos, Search the web, Answer surveys and find great deals to earn your points. Try it.

5. Sell My Old Textbooks For CASH

I round up my old textbooks from my college days and other books I don’t need anymore and I sell them back to eCampus. It’s a no brainer. They’re just collecting dust anyways.

6. I Collect Money From Price Drops

Paribus is one of my favorite sites because it’s saved me a ton of money. But also, a ton of headache and aggravation.

I hate when things go on sale AFTER I just bought them. Of course, the retailers don’t tell you about it, and it’s a pain to get refunded for the sale price. Paribus takes care of this automatically. Best of all, it’s free.

7. Help Friends Edit Their Essays

A lot of my friends are still in college and I charge them a few bucks to edit their essays or term papers.

I like doing this while watching a light comedy on Netflix. The kicker is that I’m not even a great writer. I use Grammarly to fix their mistakes. It’s a must for anyone doing any writing. The best part, you guessed it, it’s free.

8. I Invest With Crowdfunding Platforms

Crowdfunding is becoming more and more important and I believe it’s the future of investing.

While I watch Netflix, I’ll often log into my Fundrise account and LendingClub account to see how I’m doing and make some more investments.

9. Signup And Get Free Stocks

I’m always trying to find free stuff online. Right now, Stockpile will give you a free stock just for creating an account. I always take advantage of these offer.

10. I Blog Regularly

As you can see, I’m a blogger. It’s a great way to make some extra cash and it’s so easy. You just have to write a few posts and throw up some ads on your website and BAM, you’re in business.

The easiest and fastest way to get started is with Blue Host. It’s only 3.95/month and you get an entire website ready to go! Click here to get the offer.

11. Save Money Doing Groceries Online

I try to also do my groceries online while I’m bingeing. I always use SavingStar to make sure I’m getting the best price.

12. Sign Up For Flexjobs

I’ve signed up for Flexjobs off and on throughout the years. It’s the best resource to find part-time or full-time jobs. But the best part is that all the jobs are remote! That’s right I can do them while watching Netflix.

13. Deliver Food

Ok, the next 2 require that I press “pause” on whatever I’m watching.

But I still keep the apps open and ready to go ever time I watch. I make extra money on the side with DoorDash and Ubereats.

If I’m feeling lazy and don’t want to drive, then I will just rent out my car with Hyrecar.

14. Drive People

I also keep the Lyft app open in case there is are requests close to my house that I can do a quick dropoff and get right back to my show.

Lyft will give you $300 if you sign up as a driver! It’s a great side hustle.

15. Become A Host

Recently, I became an Airbnb host. I don’t have an entire apartment to list or anything, but I’m starting to make good money just renting out the extra room I have. Again, it’s so easy I manage my listing and reply to comments as I binge.

16. I Trade Penny Stocks

I’ve started dabbling in Penny stock trading since I saw Tim Sykes’ ads online and I subscribed to his service. I use a combination of Tim Sykes for ideas and TD Ameritrade to place the trades. I’m not great yet, but I definitely make more money than I lose, so i’m going to continue doing it.

17. I Freelance

I signed up as a freelancer on Fiverr as a lead generation specialist. I use Leadgibbon to collect email leads for clients. I do this only because I don’t have many other skills. If I was good graphic designer, I’d probably do that also.

18. I Apply For Scholarships

I’m contemplating going to grad school so I’ve been applying to different scholarship programs to save money.

19. I Refinance My Loans

I still have some student loan debt I’m in the process of refinancing in order to save money. I use Private Student Loans to find the best options. Again, it’s something i do while i binge on Netflix..

Let me know in the comments if you have any other Side hustles I should try. Also share this with your friends and let’s all start making CASH while bingeing!
